Texarkana, Texas–Police department arrested Randel Daniels and Lititia Reynolds late last week after getting a 911 call about a burglary in progress at a house in Highland Park.
A man had gone to his mother’s home that afternoon to get a Bible to take to the funeral home after she’d passed away two days before. When he got there, he thought he heard someone inside the house and immediately called 911. Police checked the house and discovered that someone had bagged up several things from the home and placed them near the door as if to carry them away. Someone had gone through drawers, closets, and cabinets all through the house. When they found a cold bottle of water sitting on the ladder to the attic, they knew that someone had just been there. Daniels and Reynolds were found hiding in the floorboard of an old car that was in the back yard. While they told the officers that they were just napping there and weren’t the ones that had been inside the house, Reynolds’ phone was found in the living room and some gift cards that had previously been in the house was found in the car with the two of them. Their story just wasn’t adding up, and we weren’t buying it. Both were arrested for Burglary of a Habitation and booked into the Bi-State Jail, where their bond was later set at $20,000 for each. Reynolds bonded out a couple days later, but Daniels is still in jail.
